Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ShareofAnswer.is and the Share of Answer tool ("Service"), operated by Paul Andre ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Share of Answer is a brand visibility measurement tool that runs a search prompt five times against Google AI Overviews and reports how consistently a brand is mentioned or cited in the results. The Service is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. Results represent sampled searches at a point in time and may vary by location, device, time, and Google's systems.

Accounts and Access

Access to the full Service requires creating an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when registering.
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
  • Not share your account credentials with others.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Acceptable Use

You may use the Service for personal or commercial brand monitoring and answer engine optimisation (AEO) research. You must not:

  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, usage caps, or authentication mechanisms.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to interact with the Service beyond the provided API.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service or its outputs without our written permission.
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Submit prompts or brand data designed to harm, harass, or defame any individual or organisation.

Usage Limits

Free accounts are subject to a daily analysis limit. Limits are applied per account and reset at midnight UTC. We reserve the right to adjust limits at any time. Accounts that consistently exceed fair use may be suspended.

Intellectual Property

The Share of Answer methodology, scoring model, branding, and all associated content are the intellectual property of Paul Andre. You retain ownership of the brand data and prompts you submit. By submitting data, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • Results will be accurate, complete, or representative of all Google search results.
  • The Service will be available at all times or free from errors.
  • Results will match those seen by any individual user of Google Search.

Share of Answer scores are measurement samples, not guarantees of brand visibility to any specific user or in any specific location.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paul Andre shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be notified to active account holders by email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
